USDA Recalls 62,000 Pounds of Chicken Nationwide
Health Points
- Over 62,000 pounds of breaded chicken products have been recalled nationwide by Suzanna’s Kitchen.
- The recalled products contain soy not listed on the packaging, which can be dangerous for those with soy allergies.
- No illnesses have been reported, but any of the affected chicken should be discarded immediately.
The USDA has issued a nationwide recall for more than 62,000 pounds of fully-cooked breaded chicken due to an undeclared soy allergen. These products, produced by Suzanna’s Kitchen in Georgia and distributed to restaurants across the country, were found to have soy not mentioned on the label—a significant concern for individuals with soy allergies.
The recall applies to 18-pound cases with four units of “FULLY COOKED BREADED CHICKEN PORTIONS” marked by the code “P-1380 126237 B30851 23:11 K04” on the packaging. There have been no reported illnesses so far, but the USDA urges restaurants to check their freezers and discard any affected products to keep customers safe.

If you eat out or are concerned about allergies, consider asking restaurants about recent recalls and double-checking menu details to stay safe.
