Joe Biden, 82, has started radiation and hormone therapy as part of his prostate cancer treatment plan, his spokesperson confirmed. The therapy follows an earlier diagnosis of an aggressive, metastatic form of cancer, and it marks a new step in his ongoing care.
Recently, Biden underwent Mohs surgery for skin cancer, with his physician reporting that all cancerous tissue was removed and no further treatment was necessary. The planned radiation therapy is anticipated to last five weeks, and he has also been taking hormone medication in pill form.
