  • Endico Peas and Carrots and Endico Mixed Vegetables are being recalled due to listeria risk.
  • The affected products were sold in seven East Coast locations between July 18 and August 4, 2025.
  • No illnesses have been reported in connection with this recall.

This week, Endico Potatoes Inc. announced a recall of frozen Endico Peas and Carrots and Endico Mixed Vegetables because of potential listeria contamination found during distributor tests. The company has stopped distribution of these items while it works with the FDA to investigate the issue.

The recalled vegetables come in clear 2.5-pound bags labeled “Endico” and have use-by dates in 2027. Please check your freezer for these products and specific lot codes if you purchased them in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Connecticut, Maryland, Florida, or Washington, D.C.

If you have any of the recalled vegetables, do not eat them. Endico Potatoes Inc. recommends returning the products to the place of purchase for a full refund.

“No illnesses related to these frozen vegetables have been reported so far,” according to the recall notice.

Listeria infection can cause mild symptoms in healthy adults, such as upset stomach, diarrhea, or vomiting. Symptoms usually begin within a day and typically resolve in a few days.

More serious health effects—like fever, chills, headache, and confusion—can occur if listeria spreads beyond the digestive system, especially in older adults, those with weakened immunity, and people who are pregnant.

Pregnant individuals should be aware that even mild symptoms can lead to serious risks for the baby, including miscarriage, premature birth, or infection in the newborn.

If you think you may have consumed the recalled vegetables and develop symptoms, contact your health care provider right away.

Stay informed and protect your wellness by checking your freezer and sharing this information with loved ones. Your proactive steps can safeguard your health and community.
