Reality TV Star: Captain Lee’s Secret to Staying Fit at 74 Revealed

In 2023, “Below Deck” star Captain Lee Rosbach left devotees agog when he decided to retire suddenly from the Bravo series owing to ongoing mobility and nerve problems. He was at the helm of St. David in Season 10 and disclosed that his ailment was rapidly deteriorating. In fact, he was losing all sensation on his left side.
“The pain’s getting worse, not better. I owe it to my crew to do right by them. They expect that out of me,” he openly shared in a confessional, as reported by People.
A year down the line, he delighted his fans with an update on his physical health. “I’m doing great,” Captain Lee confirmed in an E! News interview. He elaborated, “I still have a slight limp, but other than that I don’t have to use a cane or any crutches or anything like that, which I’m grateful for. I’m happy to be healthy again.”
The backbone of his recovery has been diligent adherence to a rigorous fitness plan. At 74, Captain Lee visits the gym frequently and also keeps a tight control on his diet, he informed Page Six’s Virtual Reali-Tea podcast.
“I go to the gym almost every day,” he revealed on the podcast while promoting his new Oxygen true crime series, Deadly Waters with Captain Lee.
To avoid exacerbating his condition and lessen the chance of stressing certain joints, muscles, and other tissues, Captain Lee alternates between his upper and lower body throughout the week. He elucidated that he might focus on his chest and arms, while devoting the subsequent day to less strenuous leg workouts.
“I have different days that I work different body parts. I have chest day, chest and arms. I’ll work a certain part of my arms,” he added. “It might be chest and triceps because those two work and play off of each other. On back day, I’ll do back and biceps.”
However, the Captain confessed that leg day isn’t his cup of tea. “Hell no, I don’t like it,” he candidly admitted. “I don’t know anybody that does!”
Captain Lee not only gives credit to the gym for his sculpted muscles but also places importance on nourishing his body aptly. “I try to eat properly,” he confided on the Virtual Reali-Tea podcast.
Although Captain Lee is diligent about his diet, he confessed that his biggest weakness is his wife Mary Anne’s special chocolate pie. “Mary Anne makes the best chocolate pie I’ve ever had in my life,” he gushed.
So, what sets Mary Anne’s chocolaty treat apart from the rest? It’s entirely homemade. “She makes the filling with real [chocolate]. She starts out with a real chocolate bar. She makes everything from scratch and it is the best in the world, ever,” Rosbach revealed, adding humorously, “I [would rather] not eat all day, than not be able to have that piece of chocolate pie.”
In a departure from other Bravo stars, Captain Lee said he hasn’t jumped on the Ozempic bandwagon and doesn’t plan to. “What you see, that’s what you get,” he said of his toned physique. “I feel fortunate to be part of the lucky gene pool and what isn’t affected by the lucky gene pool I can usually effect by diet and exercise and working out.”

Now just like Stallone, add a regular supplement of HGH to the rest of it all and that is 70% of his great shape.
