Many adults look for satisfying snacks that support steady energy without extra time in the kitchen. Choosing options that naturally contain more protein than Greek yogurt can make mid-day hunger easier to manage.

Hard-boiled eggs provide a complete source of protein and fit neatly into a small container for the office or car. A single large egg supplies roughly six grams of protein, making two eggs an easy replacement for an average yogurt serving.

“Preparation can happen once at the start of the week,” says registered dietitian Maria Torres. “Batch-cooking eggs removes the daily decision of what to grab.”

Cottage cheese mixed with a few chopped almonds offers both protein and a bit of healthy fat. One-half cup of low-fat cottage cheese contains about 14 grams of protein, surpassing most single-serve yogurts while remaining budget-friendly.

Turkey roll-ups deliver a savory option that travels well. Two ounces of deli turkey rolled around a slice of cheese supply roughly 14 grams of protein and minimal carbohydrates, suiting those who prefer lighter midday bites.

“Whole-food snacks tend to keep people fuller longer than refined options,” notes Torres. “That can reduce the urge for another snack an hour later.”

Edamame in the pod serves as a plant-based choice that still packs protein. One cup of shelled edamame offers around 17 grams of protein and pairs nicely with a sprinkle of sea salt for flavor without added sugar.
