Keurig Recalls Decaf Coffee Pods Over Possible Caffeine Mix-Up
Keurig Dr Pepper has issued a voluntary recall for several hundred cartons of its McCafe Premium Roast Decaf Coffee K-Cup pods. The FDA classified the action as a Class II recall because the coffee, labeled decaf, may actually contain caffeine.
Consumers in California, Indiana, and Nevada should check their pantry for specific 84-count cartons. While the risk of serious health consequences is considered remote, caffeine sensitivity can cause temporary discomfort for some drinkers.
