FDA Warns: Certain Cookware May Leach Lead

Cookware made with aluminum, brass, or alloys like Hindalium may pose an increased risk.

“There’s no safe amount of lead exposure,” notes the FDA.

Lead poisoning can build up over time, often without symptoms, and can cause serious health effects like developmental delays in children and memory problems in adults.

Children may experience irritability, stomach pain, weight loss, and learning difficulties, while adults might suffer from high blood pressure, headaches, and joint pain.
