Health Points
- Ben’s Original recalled three rice products due to possible small stones.
- Only certain batches with best used by August 2026 are affected.
- No injuries have been reported at this time.
Ben’s Original has issued a voluntary recall of specific Long Grain White, Whole Grain Brown, and Long Grain & Wild Ready Rice products sold at retailers like Amazon and Target because small stones may be present in the packaging.
The recall impacts only designated batch codes with a best used by date of August 2026, with steps underway to remove these products from all stores and alert customers.
The batch codes are printed on the bottom seal of the back of each package and include: 533ELGRV22, 534ALGRV22 for Long Grain White; 534AMGRV22, 534BMGRV22, 534DMGRV22 for Whole Grain Brown; and 533BMGRV22, 533CLGRV22, 533CMGRV22 for Long Grain & Wild Rice.
“The small stones are naturally occurring and come from the rice farm,” the company stated.
If these stones are ingested, there is a chance of mouth or digestive tract injury, but no illnesses or injuries have been reported.
Consumers should avoid eating the recalled rice and contact Ben’s Original consumer care at 1-800-548-6253 for a return, available weekdays and weekends during listed hours.
